A Production of Hurt Broken Now Healed And Delivered Ministries

Written & Directed by International Award-Winning Writer, Director & Producer Jeanette Greenwood

Some stories entertain. Others make you look at life differently.

Mother of Inmates is a powerful urban stage play inspired by the true story and book by Teresa Tarpley . This emotional production follows one mother’s journey through neglect, heartbreak, shame, accountability, forgiveness, and the hope of redemption.

This limited engagement will also feature special stage appearances by R&B Artist Alisa Peoples of Yarbrough & Peoples and Legendary Actor Reginald “Bruh Man” Ballard , best known for his role on the hit Martin Lawrence show Martin . Their appearances add a powerful cultural and entertainment experience to an already unforgettable stage production.

After enduring a childhood marked by pain and neglect, Teresa carried unresolved wounds into motherhood. As two of her sons become entangled in the Texas prison system, she is forced to confront the impact of generational trauma, difficult choices, and the painful realities faced by families affected by incarceration.

This is more than a story about prison. It is a story about a mother’s love, a family’s pain, responsibility, redemption, and the healing that can begin when truth is finally faced.

Only two showings. Seats are limited.
