The Daily Flower Mound team
If you follow Argyle ISD, the school board has new officers. Trustees voted unanimously Monday night to name Rich McDowell president, Leona McDade vice president and Frank Dixon secretary. That came after an executive session that lasted nearly three hours.
The reshuffle follows the resignations of Matt Slaton in Place 6 and Sam Slaton (no relation) in Place 7, who left within five days of each other. McDowell told the board it is time to "refocus our collective energy" on students.
